Recent Winners!

David Williams of Wichita is a consistent Kansas Lottery player, and has won here and there along the way. However, Williams was not prepared for the “shocking” discovery that his $10 Electric 8’s Super Ticket was an $80,000 top prize winner! 

“I bought $20 in tickets, one Electric 8’s and another game, and then went to my vehicle,” Williams said. “I was on my way to work for the day but decided to go ahead to scratch those tickets. I won $20 on the first ticket was already excited!” 

Williams then started to scratch off his Electric 8’s ticket, and that’s when he saw the winning symbol. “I got a winning symbol, so I scratched off the prize with it and it said ‘$80,000’ and it took me a minute to process that one,” Williams said with a laugh. 

The hardest part was the waiting to come claim the prize, according to Williams. “I already had some time off scheduled, so I decided to just wait to come to Topeka then. So I had to just hold on the ticket for a bit, but it was worth it,” he added. 

Williams, a retired Air Force veteran, said they haven’t really decided what to do with their winnings yet, but he has a good idea on where some of it is going to go.

“There’s about to be some spoiled grandbabies around our house,” Williams said. “I can’t think of a better use of that money. The rest will probably go into savings for now!” 

The winning ticket was sold at Casey’s General Store #2965 on 11931 West Central in Wichita. There is still one top prize left, as well as thousands in other cash prizes, in in the $10 Electric 8’s Super Ticket instant game.
